Manchester United have finally revealed their stance on signing former Real Madrid boss, Zinedine Zidane.
Zidane has been tipped in recent weeks to replace current United manager, Jose Mourinho at Old Trafford.
However, according to Manchester Evening News, United executive vice-chairman, Ed Woodward and the club’s chiefs are backing Mourinho for now.
The report claimed that the Red Devils hierarchy does not want Zidane to take over from Mourinho any time soon.
Zidane flirted with the United job over the weekend by expressing a desire to return to management.
“I am sure that I will coach again before long,” Zidane said.
“This is what I like and what I have done all my life.”
