The president of the federation, Luis Rubiales, says Luis Enrique opted to be Spain coach, despite receiving huge offers from elsewhere. His contract will have no release clause. The appointment was an unanimous decision by the RFEF board.
Luis Enrique was at the helm of Barcelona for three seasons from 2014 to 2017, winning the treble in his first season with the club.
Good decision from the Spain Football Federation?
