Alexis Sanchez will link up with his Manchester United teammates in the United States after all.
The Premier League side confirmed Sanchez has been allowed to join the team's pre-season tour after he was initially denied entryinto the U.S., due to a visa-related issue.
Although United did not disclose details about why he was denied a visa, Luke Edwards of The Telegraph reports that the problem stemmed from a suspended sentence for tax fraud that was issued in February.
Sanchez is expected to play a prominent role during the tour, which will see United take on Club America, the San Jose Earthquakes, AC Milan, Liverpool, and Real Madrid.
A statement from United reads: "The South American forward should be available soon to link up with his colleagues, following the first match of the trip against Club America in Arizona. With Jose Mourinho keen to prepare his troops for the new campaign but already missing a number of internationals who were on World Cup duty, the arrival of Alexis is a timely boost."
Manager Jose Mourinho suggested that Sanchez will feature in an attacking trident alongside Anthony Martial and Juan Mata.
