Five times Ballon D’or winner, Lionel Messi, has become the first player in history to win the European golden shoe a record of 6 times after picking up the award last season ahead of Paris Saint Germaine sensation, Kylian Mbappe.
The 31-year-old Argentine scored an amazing 36 goals in just 34 appearance to wrap up the much coveted individual award.
European Golden shoe is given to the highest goal scorer across the five major leagues namely, English Premiership, Spanish LaLiga Satander, Italian Serie A , German Bundesliga , and French Ligue 1.
