Single for their own reasons, from the good to the bad. But without anyone telling we all know that it is not at all an easy task staying single under the African clime especially beyond the required age bracket.

These Nigerian Female Celebrities That Are Single are humans in every regard. It is therefore a matter of great pain for them to sometimes read about their lack on blogs by people who just don’t care except for scoring cheap points with other peoples pain.

Marriage is a matter of honour and fulfilment over here in Africa. It is a way of life. A rite everyone must go through. To not be married at a certain age makes you a candidate for some really ugly assumptions.

And celebrity or not they are really feeling the pressure.

10. Yemi Alade

Yemi Alade is arguably the queen of dance songs in Nigeria. Yemi Alade was born Yemi Eberechi Alade on 13th March 1989 to a Yoruba father and Igbo mother.

It is rumoured that she might be dating her manager but still no words from her to affirm that or dismiss it. She is single, thick and sexy.

She gained prominence after winning the Peak Talent Show in 2009, and is best known for her hit single “Johnny “.

09. Linda Ikeji

She is the biggest celebrity blogger in Nigeria and Africa at large. With a following that is quite absurd for someone that just writes.

She is a mogul in the media world and just recently gave birth to her first child last week in Atalanta. Linda Ikeji was born Linda Ifeoma Ikeji on 19th September 1980.

Linda Ikeji was the biggest Google Search trend in Nigeria for 2014. The name Linda Ikeji was the most searched item by users of Google in Nigeria.

On August 8, 2018, Linda Ikeji was among eminent personalities drawn from different countries across multiple disciplines who were conferred with Honorary Doctorate Degree from Trinity International University in Georgia for her outstanding job in Business and Media in Africa.

She is nothing more than a baby mama at the moment. So can be declared single as well.

08. Rukky Sanda

She has never being married unlike most of the famous and rich names to be added to this list of Nigerian Female celebrities that are single.

She is an actress, producer and director in Nollywood. She was born Rukayat Akinsanya , August 23, 1984 in Lagos State. She began her acting career in 2004 while still a student at Lagos State University and continued after graduation in 2007.

This almost whitish actress was in the past rumoured to have been in a sexual relationship with Tonto Dike.

One she denied!

She is still single and maybe not searching.

07. Genevieve Nnaji

This beautiful and ever young actress is one of the few that wears the crown of the Nigeria Movie Industry.

She is even the first to take Nigerian produced movie content to the international arena.

As Netflix has acquired her movie “Lionheart”, which she produced. At one point in time she was rumoured to be having a sexual partnership with ex vice president Atiku.

But the claim as Nigerians, that was an accepted fact was that she dated Dbanj, even staring in one of his musical videos.

She was born 3 May 1979. In 2011, she was honoured as a Member of the Order of the Federal Republic by the Nigerian government for her contribution to Nollywood .

She is a single mother of one.

06. Rita Dominic

Like Genevieve Nnaji she is beautiful and ever young. She also wears the Nollywood crown on her head with no worries.

Rita Dominic had earlier dated Jim Iyke according to major sources. She was born Rita Uchenna Nkem Dominic Nwaturuocha on July 12, 1975.

She is a member of the Royal Nwaturuocha family of Aboh Mbaise local government area in Imo State.

She attended University of Port Harcourt , where she graduated with a BA (Honours) Degree in Theatre Arts in 1999. In 1998 she starred in her first movie, A Time to Kill .

05. Tiwa Savage

Tiwa Savage is a very popular name in the Nigeria music industry.

In fact she is one of the biggest names when it comes to the female category in that industry. She has a son with Tunji “Teebillz” Balogun. Who she got separated from in 2016.

On 28 April 2016 Balogun, in a series of social media posts, accused his wife of infidelity as well as her mother of witchcraft.

Claims she debunked, and in an interview accused her husband of financial recklessness, drug addiction, and abandonment.

She is also a big name like those Nigerian Female Celebrities That Are Single who wear the Nollywood crown on their head. Rita Dominic is single and was born on 23 April 1972.

She graduated from the University of Uyo where she got a Diploma in Theatre Arts. She also completed her bachelor’s degree program at the University of Calabar where she studied English. In 2014 she got a scholarship to study law at National Open University of Nigeria.

She was However married to an American-based Nigerian businessman, Phillip in 2008. She walked out of the marriage in September, 2014, following accusations of domestic violence and cheating.

She has remained single since then.

03. Chika Ike

Chika ‘Nancy’ Ike was born on November 8, 1985.

She is a Nigerian actress , television personality , producer, business woman, philanthropist and former model .

These days she is all about private jets and foreign trips . Especially to Dubai!

She began her film career in 2005 when she played a minor character in the movie Sweet Love. She got her first major role that same year in a movie titled Bless the Child and has since played major roles in over a hundred movies.

In 2014, she graduated from the New York Film Academy in Los Angeles, California where she studied Film Making.

She was married but later filed for divorce due to domestic violence in 2013.

02. Kate Henshaw

This lady has the energy of a man. She is always online going through one exercise routine after the other as if it’s nothing.

She is the most health and fitness conscious.

Kate Henshaw, also credited as Kate Henshaw-Nuttall wad born 19 July 1971 and was once married .

In 1993 Henshaw auditioned for the lead role in the movie When the Sun Sets and was handed the role. This was her first appearance in a major Nollywood movie.

The actress was married to British born Roderick James Nuttal, her husband of 12 years. They separated in 2011. Their marriage broke up over accusations and counter accusations of infidelity.

She is therefore a woman with kids who has refused to remarry.

01. Bimbo Akintola

She was one of those few Nigerian celebrity actors that I had a crush on as a young child growing up. She is still beautiful and a excellent actor no matter the standard.

Akintola was born on May 5, 1970, to a father from Oyo State and a mother from Edo State. Her debut acting was when she featured in the film OWO BLOW in 1995 alongside Femi Adebayo and followed up with Out of Bounds in 1997 with Richard Mofe Damijo.

While speaking to the punch she said:

“Of course, I can. Definitely I can do it because I don’t see anything wrong with it. Thing are changing in the world at large. If you look around, you would find a lot of women are having babies and taking care of themselves. It’s everywhere.

“There are women who are not actors but are single mothers, and for a lot of people I think it’s about their biological clock. Instead of waiting for manna from heaven and you know there is no manna, and you feel the need to have children, then do it.”

She has never being married nor does she have a child of her own.
