Nine people have been reported dead and several others injured in an accident involving a matatu and a lorry at Kimende on Nairobi-Nakuru highway, witnesses have said.
Mainstream media houses have given contradicting numbers with some indicating nine while others 12 people in what appeared to be the grisly accident that resulted in the two vehicles rolling down the cliff due to impact.
The injured are receiving treatment at the Kijabe Mission hospital with a number expected to be transferred to Nairobi soon.
