David Nzomo, the man who was captured on camera brutally clobbering his wife on Tuesday, July 31, in Makueni county will spend 12 years in jail.
In an early morning ruling delivered at Makueni Senior Senior Principal Magistrate on Wednesday,August 8, the accused was sentenced on his own plea of guilt of assaulting his wife Winfred Mwende.

During the sentence, Chief Magistrate James Mwaniki noted Nzomo’s criminal record showed he was a violent man both to wife and family.
His mother Teresia Daudi had told journalists on Wednesday, August 1, prior to the ugly incident, Nzomo had threatened to harm family members before he turned on Mwende, the mother of his three kids.
