Leicester awaiting new Manchester United bid for £65M-rated Maguire

Manchester United's pursuit of Leicester Citycenter-back Harry Maguire is still very much alive.

The Foxes are braced for another United bid for the England man in the coming hours, according to The Times' Gary Jacob, and value the 25-year-old at £65 million.

United, hunting for new additions to their backline, have been linked with Maguire for several weeks after his breakout performances for the Three Lions at the World Cup in Russia.

Maguire appears to be at the front of Jose Mourinho's queue for central defensive reinforcements as time winds down for deals to be completed across the Premier League. Other names such as Toby Alderweireld and Yerry Mina have been linked with United, while Bayern Munich's Jerome Boateng reportedly snubbed a prospective move to Old Trafford.

Meanwhile, Jacob claims Leicester have agreed to deals for both Freiburg defender Caglar Soyuncu and Dinamo Zagreb center-half Filip Benkovic, although he suggests the Foxes' total £33.5-million outlay on the pair does not hinge on whether or not Maguire departs before Thursday's transfer deadline.

Last month, Leicester were reportedlysteadfast in their desire to retain their hot commodity, but a skyrocketing valuation after his impressive summer may make a lucrative sale too appealing to turn down.
