Nice striker Mario Balotelli has named Barcelona star, Luis Suarez as the best player in the world - The 27-year-old striker claims the Uruguay forward is better than the duo of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo - He claims Neymar is not even close to the quality of the former Ajax goal poacher, who has scored 21 goals in 25 league appearances for the Catalan club this season Former Liverpool and Manchester City striker, Mario Balotelli, has named Barcelona superstar, Luis Suarez the best player in the world. The 31-year-old joined the Catalan club in 2014 after Uruguay crashed out of the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil following their 2-0 defeat to Colombia in the second round stage. Meanwhile, the Italian national team striker, who joined the Anfield outfit in 2014 claims the duo of Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi don’t come near the Uruguay international despite winning five ballon d’Or awards each in the last one decade. The former Ajax striker, who won the Spanish League top scorer award in the 2015–16, has already scored 21 goals in 25 league appearances this season.
He has also created six assists in the league, while his goal tally for the season has been taken to 24 goals in 40 matches in all competitions. Barca are at the summit of the league table and are also in a good position to win the Champions League beating Premier League champions, Chelsea in the knockout stage earlier this month, and have been drawn against Roma for the quarterfinal fixture.
Balotelli also claimed Edinson Cavani is the best player in the French Ligue 1 over the current most world’s expensive player, Neymar, who joined PSG last summer from Barcelona. According to Sport, Balotelli was quoted to have said that having so much money doesn’t guarantee you a team, but helps you to assemble a formidable squad. He added that out of favour Manchester United star, Zlatan Ibrahimovic ia another great player, but lack enough playing time at his present club.
"[Cavani] has scored a lot of goals in the last two years. I have a lot of respect for Cavani, because he's a top player, but Ibra played less. You can't compare Zlatan with Cavani, Zlatan is in other dimension." While reacting to PSG’s Champions League campaign this season, the 27-year-old said the Parisians didn’t do enough to go through to the next round of the tournament, saying Real Madrid were more purposeful and deserved to win on both legs. "To be honest I haven't seen much of PSG this season apart from their games against Real Madrid. They deserved to lose, Madrid were more efficient and played better."
