Manchester United captain Michael Carrickhas stepped in into the feud between Jose Mourinho and Paul Pogba, amid claims the Red Devils’ boss is set to offload the France midfielder in the summer.
Carrick, in his final season as a player before he joins United's coaching staff, had a private chat with Pogba, where he used the opportunity to urge Pogba to resolve his differences with Mourinho, according to the Daily Mail.
It is being reported that Pogba and Mourinho haven't seen eye-to-eye for a number of months now, with the manager frustrated by the French midfielder's inconsistent performances.
As a result, reports have claimed United's hierarchy are concerned by this prospect and executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward has ordered Mourinho and Pogba to patch up their relationship.
