Ronaldo makes huge demand ahead of Bayern Munich match

Real Madrid talisman Cristiano Ronaldo has made a huge demand ahead of the Champions League semifinal clash with the Germany Champions Bayern Munich on Wednesday at the Allianz Arena.

According to a report in Diario Gol, Ronaldo believes Marco Asensio should be given the nod to start for Real Madrid if Karim Benzema is rested and skipper Sergio Ramos also supported the view that the French international should not start against the Bavarians.

Benzema is experiencing his worst season for the European Champions, he just scored nine goals in 39 appearances in this campaign.

 Gareth Bale is the preferred player to step in for Benzema and allowing Ronaldo to operate in the central role but the Portuguese forward favours Asensio to start ahead of the Welsh forward;

This means Ronaldo would be flanked by Isco and Asensio, Lucas Vazquez will start from the bench having played the entire 90 minutes in the 1-1 draw against Athletic Bilbao in their last outing.

Diario Gol suggests that Zinedine Zidane could bring Isco, Gareth Bale and Casemiro all into the starting line-up after resting the trio against Bilbao, with Asensio and Vazquez then serving as options from the bench at the Allianz Arena.

Real Madrid aim to reach the third successive final after winning the last two editions of the tournament.
