Bayern Munich win Bundesliga title for sixth consecutive season

Bayern Munich secured a sixth straight Bundesliga title, after a 4-2 win over Augsburg on Saturday.

After thrashing Borussia Dortmund 6-0 last weekend, the Bavarians needed one more win to be confirmed champions.

Jupp Heycknes’ men recovered from conceding an early bizarre own goal, to wrap up the championship in style at the WWK Arena.

Sergio Cordova’s shot was saved by Sven Ulreich, but bounced up into the face of Niklas Sule and rolled into the empty net, to make it 1-0.

Bayern were soon level through Corentin Tolisso’s header in the 32nd minute and James Rodriguez fired them in front before the break.

Arjen Robben lashed in a third just after the hour, before Sandro Wagner headed in a late fourth as Heynckes delivered a 28th German league title for the German giants.
