Army forces suicide bombers to detonate, kill selves



The Nigerian Army  troops of 707 Special Forces Battalion under the  OPERATION LAFIYA DOLE on Sunday foiled an attack by two suicide bombers who were trying to infiltrate the troops position.

The troops working together with 222 Battalion had pressured the suicide bombers into detonating their suicide vests killing themselves. 

In a statement signed by Brigadier General Texas Chukwu, the Director Army Public Relations, he added that the since the attack the troops have remained alert to prevent attacks on civilian population.

Chukwu added that a Boko Haram terrorist suspect has surrendered to troops in  Sambisa forest. 

He said that the suspect was currently undergoing interrogation  at 26 Task Force  Brigade. 

"He will be moved to join the de-radicalization program in due course,” he added.
