Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos believes that winning the Champions League would better Barcelona domestic double this season, according to report.
Barcelona snatched the La Liga title from Real Madrid with ease with the Bernabeu outfit posing no threat in this campaign.
Barcelona defeated Deportivo La Coruna 4-2 at the Riazor to claim the title for the 7th time in 10 years after already securing the Copa del Rey against Sevilla.
Real Madrid’s form in the domestic scene was poor and has a chance to make it right in the Champions League with an European success.
Zinedine Zidane and his men are aiming to win the tournament for the fourth time in five seasons.
Spain defender Ramos believes that achievement would be superior to Barcelona achievement this season.
"Barca have had a great year, they have won two titles; winning the cup has merit and the league even more," said Ramos at his pre-match press conference, according to Marca.
"Winning the Champions League is a positive that is equivalent to those two or even more.
"For me
it would be two great seasons, theirs and ours ".
Real Madrid won the competition in 2014, 2016 and 2017, and are the favourite to make the Kiev final after having a 2-1 advantage over Bayern Munich in Allianz Arena last week.
Marcel cancelled out Joshua Kimmich’s goal before the end of the first half and Marco Asensio second-half strike ensured Real Madrid left German with a vital win and Ramos says he is driven by the chance to make history.
"I give importance to everything, we are making the impossible easy," he added.
"It seems easy that we could win three in a row, that motivates us in the day to day to keep breaking records.
"Maybe we give it the value it has tomorrow. "
Bayern Munich was the last team to win the title three times in a row in the 1970’s, Real Madrid want
to make history despite being the first club to win it back to back in the current format since 1992.
