January transfer: Chelsea to complete swap deal

Chelsea is set to complete first winter signing in the coming weeks as Gonzalo Higuain will move to Stamford Bridge with Alvaro Morata joining AC Milan, according to the report in Sportmediaset.


Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri is in support of the swap deal that would see both clubs exchange the forwards till the end of the season.


Morata has been linked with a move to Serie A this winter after failing to impress since his arrival from Real Madrid a season and a half ago.


it is also revealed that the move for Higuain to Chelsea to reunite with his former manager Sarri has been thrashed out and agreed upon. it was further claimed that the Argentine forward would be signed on a six-month loan which could be extended if he succed within those months while, Morata will move on an 18-month loan to Milan, cutting out Higuain's parent club Juventus completely.
