The NDDC has been in the news lately for alleged mismanagement of funds and contract splitting, from parliamentary hearings to media reports where the immediate past MD of the interventionist agency has accused the Minister, Sen. Akpabio of graft & intimidation.

Earlier today, on an interview at Arise Tv, the back and forth allegations took another personal twist when Dr Nunieh revealed that she slapped the Ex-Akwa Ibom state Governor.

“I am the only woman in Nigeria to have slapped Akpabio” – says Dr Joi Nunieh, detailing the incident when Minister Godswill Akpabio wanted to take advantage of her in his guest house. The Ex-NNDC boss Joy Nunieh also told ARISEtv that NDDC Minister Akpabio demanded $1m for Xmas. Also spoke on how his diesel supplier girlfriend approached Secretary, NASS NDDC Cmttee, to insert projects in the 2020 budget.
