[Video] Zlatan – This Year

Following massive collaborations with the likes of Burna Boy and Davido, Zlatan has become one of the biggest breakout stars of the past year.

It’s this newfound fame that he is grateful for on his latest single “This Year“, which is accompanied by a fitting music video.

As for the accompanying music video, which was directed by Clarence Peters, we see Zlatan decked out in his finest agbada, conducting a private praise and worship session in the woods. He then takes center stage as the performer at a rather bubbling owambe.

Amidst shots of Zlatan rocking out, the video depicts everyday Nigerians in their Sunday best, making their way to a function via public transport.

Like Zlatan, the clip shows them praying for their circumstances to improve — a sentiment a lot of Nigerians can relate to.

Israel's missile defense system loses to obsolete Soviet weapon during first combat use

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) made the first use of the national missile defense system known as David's Sling (formerly known as the Magic Wand) in real combat operations. On Monday, July 23, two interceptor missiles of the system were released to intercept missiles of Soviet-made tactical complex Tochka (SS-21) launched from the territory of Syria.

Tactical Operational Missile Complex "Tochka"

The message posted on the website of the IDF says that the Syrian missiles were most likely launched during hostilities in Syria. Yet, an attempt to intercept those missiles failed. The IDF press service later confirmed that the Syrian missiles were not intercepted. After Israeli interceptors missed the target, they were destroyed by operators David's Sling. Each of the destroyed missiles was evaluated at one million dollars, Ynet website said.

Israel has recently coordinated the ten-year program to strengthen anti-missile defense forces of the country. The program was prepared against the backdrop of the growing threat of missile attacks from Syria and Iran. The program is evaluated at 30 billion shekels. The funds will be used to purchase additional missile defenses, develop new systems and build bomb shelters.

It is worthy of note that Tochka tactical missile systems (NATO reporting name SS-21) were passed into service for the Soviet Army in 1975. Before the collapse of the USSR, Tochka missile systems had been supplied to many countries of the world, including Syria.

Fayose Replies Yahaya Bello On Monopoly Of Stupidity Comment (Watch Video)

Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose has described his Kogi State counterpart, Yahaya Bello as a “small boy” who is not a product of true democracy.

In reaction to a statement made by Bello at the mega rally of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ado-Ekiti on Tuesday, Fayose said thugs imported into Ekiti State by the Kogi state governor will not help the cause of APC governorship candidate on election day.

The outgoing Ekiti state governor said Bello is a small boy who is trying to pay back those who rigged him into office.

He encouraged Bello to learn from Ekiti before leaving the state. “He is a small boy, I don’t want to join issues with him. But tell him to learn from Ekiti when he is going back. He should see that flyover, there is nothing like that in Kogi.

“There is no good road in Kogi. When you are coming from Ondo state, there is no good road until you get to Ekiti. When you are coming from Kogi, there is no good road until you get to Ekiti.

“Tell Yahaya Bello that I cannot continue to reply the dog in my house. Yeye Bello is a small boy, he has no experience, he is an ordinary driver,” he said.

During the APC rally, Bello said Ayodele Fayose is lucky that he was not there when Fayose allegedly disrupted stakeholders meeting of political parties on Monday.

“Nobody has monopoly of stupidity. We shall tame him on Saturday,” Bello said. An interpretation of Bello’s statement would mean that he plans to “share in the stupidity”.

Video: Thiago Silva converts pinpoint corner from Neymar to double Brazil lead vs Serbia

Thiago Silva converted a corner delivered from PSG teammate Neymar to double Brazil’s lead over Serbia in a Group E clash.

Paulinho had initially given Brazil the lead in the first-half with the Brazilian midfielder producing a composed finish to poke the South American giants ahead.

Paulinho’s goal required a superb piece of link-up play with his Barcelona teammate Philippe Coutinho after the former Liverpool star found his Barcelona teammate with an outstanding perfectly weighted ball from a deep-lying midfield position.

The club connections continued into the second half with Thiago Silva linking up with his PSG teammate Neymar.

Neymar found Silva with a corner as the Brazilian centre-back made a superb run across the front post to nod home for Brazil’s second.

Thiago Silva has had to fight for his place in Brazil’s World Cup squad having had his captaincy stripped four years perviously in the last World Cup.

Silva had asked to go last during a penalty shootout with Chile in the last World Cup and was seen in tears prior to the shootout which many believe was the reason that he subsequently had his captaincy taken away.

You can watch the fantastic Thiago Silva goal below after a pinpoint delivery from Neymar.

Video: Ramsey scores acrobatic stunner that Arsenal fans describe as "better than Giroud's scorpion kick"

Aaron Ramsey converted an acrobatic stunner as Arsenal ran riot in the first-half at the Emirates against CSKA Moscow in the Europa League.

Aaron Ramsey and Alexandre Lacazette both scored braces in Arsenal’s first-half vs CSKA Moscow.

Arsenal and Arsene Wenger set the Europa League quarter-finals off to an explosive start as they ran riot over Russian side CSKA Moscow in the opening 45 minutes of the first-leg.

Aaron Ramsey opened the scoring for the Gunners on the 9th minute before Arsenal were momentarily pegged back by a CSKA Moscow equaliser six minutes later.

The Gunners remained unfazed despite having their early lead wiped out and went on to dominate the rest of the first-half through an impressive attacking display.

Alexandre Lacazette made it two after 23 minutes from the spot before Aaron Ramsey produced a piece of magic to make it three just five minuted later.

Mesut Ozil picked up the ball on the left-side of the Arsenal flank before floating a ball into the path of an oncoming Ramsey. The Welshman improvised superbly and produced a finish using his back-heel to lob the ball over CSKA Moscow goalkeeper Igor Akinfeev. The Arsenal star’s finish can be seen below and we’re still struggling to find a superlative impressive enough to describe it.
